Screening Fees and Charges as of 1 July 2016
The fees for screening are as follows:
Child-related employment and disability services employment screening
- $94.00 (GST exclusive)
- $103.40 (GST inclusive)
All other types of screening for employees
- $78.50 (GST exclusive)
- $86.35 (GST inclusive)
Volunteers and students on placement (for all types of screening):
- $52.00 (GST exclusive)
- $57.20 (GST inclusive)
All screening fees are subject to annual revision. The charges payable for the child-related employment check and disability sector employment check are regulated fees. The fees for all DCSI Screening checks increased by 2.4% from 1 July 2015. Screening fees also increased on 1 July 2016.
If more than one type of screening is required:
EMPLOYEES: Where more than one type of screening is required for employees, a charge applies for each separate screening type.
The screening of volunteers and students on placement attracts a discounted single fee, which covers any type of screening and any number of concurrent checks (as long as they are submitted together):
- VOLUNTEERS: Where more than one type of screening is required for volunteers, only one fee will be charged provided that all of the screening application forms are attached together and submitted at the same time.
- STUDENTS ON PLACEMENT: Where more than one type of screening is required for students on placement, only one fee will be charged provided that all of the screening application forms are attached together and submitted at the same time.
Fee-free checks for Volunteers
Some organisations may qualify for free of charge Police Checks for their volunteers, if they work with vulnerable clients and possess a 'Volunteer Organisation Authorisation Number' issued by South Australia Police. For more information go to our page 'Police Checks'.
